Manasseh House will provide a safe and healthy campus for young men emancipated from foster care. Residents learn life skills that help them transition to independent living. They participate in all facets of home life - cooking, cleaning, budgeting and being family. They will be become well-adjusted members of society not dependent on government social programs

Of current youth who have aged out of foster care:

  • Only 30% will have graduated high school by age 19
  • 51% will be unemployed within 5 - 7 months
  • Nearly 60% will be convicted of a crime
  • 80% will be arrested
  • 50% end up incarcerated within 2 years
  • 65% are emancipate without a place to live –
    the size of the 7th largest city in the U.S.
  • 25% have experienced post-traumatic stress disorder
  • 33% have no health insurance
  • 32% will have attempted suicide

Need an apprentice? We are seeking partnerships with local craftsmen to offer opportunities for hands-on experience. We will provide training to obtain state certifications.
